"It is Mother's Day today and can't help wondering if Mom is
watching me from heaven. We seem so close to it. Thoughts return to
that day in 2002, two days before leaving for the Russia climb. Dad called
me to say Mom died suddenly. My world was shattered. The memory
still hurts. Would she be proud of me now? Is she up there worried
about me or saying her usual... You go girl?" |
