"Today was the day from hell. The scenery was the only
saving grace, but beyond that I hated it. It was so difficult that I
wanted to cry, swear, and quit. I felt defeated, but I made it carrying a
load as heavy as the men. Everyone struggled and some of them felt like
quitting also. The hike lasted 9 hours. Our guide said summit day
would be worse." |
