What is your relationship with your MS walking partner?

None before Kili climb (Sean Corcoran).

What has motivated you to take part in the Kilimanjaro climb and to be a walking partner for people with MS?

I heard about the climb due to having Parkinson’s myself, and MS has some similarities, so I can relate.

What is your previous experience of hiking/climbing?

Climbed mountains in Western US and Canada. Mt Rainier, Mt Adams, Mt Hood, Mt St Helens (before and after 1980), Forbidden Peak (North Cascades), Mt Temple (Canada), Kings Peak (Utah), and others. Also, 10 day canoe circuit at Bowron Lakes British Columbia. Rafting on Salmon Rivers Idaho. Canyoneering hikes in Utah at Blue John Canyon (near Aron Ralston incident).

How do you plan to support your MS walker companion during the Kilimanjaro climb?

Encouragement, sharing whatever is needed, sharing loads or equipment if necessary.

What hopes/aspirations do you have before and after the Kilimanjaro climb?

Travel with family, perhaps try another “Seven Summits” mountain if this goes okay.
