Severe Weather Warnings: Blizzard Conditions
40-57 MPH winds
2 ft. of new snow

We pull on our gloves and head out, not a bit of skin to be seen, knowing that our efforts are probably futile.  We trudge out of the shelter into the wind that pelts our faces.  We bend forward to fight the strong gale pushing our bodies backwards.  I feel invigorated and excited to be trying this, my fifth peak of the seven summits.  “Kosi” is only an 8 mile hike and by far the easiest peak I will climb, but today it does not seem that it will be an easy attempt at all.”
